Bridget Nutting Bridget Nutting is a high school English/Language Arts teacher and visual artist. Her passion is teaching at-risk students to use their writing and art to reclaim their voices. She began writing poetry and lyrics at four, then continued throughout her teens as an escape from the horrors of daily abuse. Much of these writings were destroyed by her mother. In addition to poetry and art, she dabbles in short stories and non-fiction. Although most publications have been in school and college literary journals, her poem "Rebuttal" was featured in the January 30th, 2010 issue of Protest Poems. She is slowly gathering the courage to share her writing with the world.
